Writing

Alongside academic research, I am an active author.

I have published two children's books, a short story for youth, a book on negotiation and many Op-Eds.

Maaravi Y. (2015) You Deserve Better – how to excel in the negotiations of your life. (Textbook, in Hebrew), Kinneret-Zmora-Bitan.

 

This book is based on social and behavioral focusing on negotiation and persuasion. The book includes examples and cases from different areas of life, suggesting a practical toolbox to improve in these fields.

Maaravi Y. (2010), The Juice Tree, Hakibutz Hameuhad, Sifriat Poalim Publishing Group. 

"The Juice Tree" is a children's book illustrated by Shahar Kober. It depicts a social dilemma with important insights for proper behavior in communities. "The Juice Tree" received excellent critiques (see here), and was included in the Israeli education ministry list of recommended books (Mitzad Hasfarim) for 2011. In 2011, it was translated to Korean, and has already sold a few editions in Korea.

Selected for the Ministry of Education "Book Parade"; Selected by the PJ Library and distributed to 54,900 children in Israel, Selected by the World PJ Library and through this was translated into Spanish, Portuguese, and German and released in 12 countries: Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Uruguay, Venezuela, Brazil, and Germany.

"Friendship and Magic", also illustrated by Shahar Kober, describes a tale of a need for a creative solution to a conflict, demonstrating the meaning of win-win integrative negotiation. It also received good critiques (see here), and was listed in the Israeli education ministry list of recommended books (Mitzad Hasfarim) for 2012. "Friendship and Magic" was translated to Arabic for the Arabic speaking population in Israel.
